Breeding JCP

jerhart Aug 13, 2006 04:22 PM

Hello,
I have a 2.3 group of JCP. My oldest is a 3 year old male from Bob Clark. I purchased a female JCP from an individual who quoated her to be 1-2 years old. She is about 5.5'-6' now and about as thick as a can of red bull, if not a little thicker. My question is how large do female need to be before you can pair them up?

Well, the JCP females that I have used for breeding were at least three years old(they have to be really well fed prior seasoning), preferably four years old.

I have read from a good source (Jim Kurowski), that a female can be bred at 2.5 years old, and 1500 grams. But, the bigger the better!
