The tail of a Salmontine

salmonboa.com Aug 13, 2006 05:33 PM

With all of the talk lately about Argentines and Salmontines, I wanted to show this girl we produced this year. She is from a Salmontine bred to a Salmontine so is a possible super. One thing that is interesting about these boas is the tail. Check out the color change past the vent. Every Salmon in the litter has this color change on their tail past the vent.

She is the color of a strawberry in person but it was hard to catch that in a photo.

thanks for looking,
John

AMAZING JOHN!!!!!

I have to say that Tail is cool, but I LOVE the head of the Salmontine. I can't believe how RED They are. They are AWESOME. I can't wait to see more Sunglows with the Salmontine in them. This year we had a few, and they are some of the best sunglows I have produced. They are only 12.5 percent Salmontine. From a 25 percent Argentine/Columbian Cross to a Sunglow.

Thanks for sharing an AWESOME snake.

Take care,

John,

I'll post some pics after Daytona. They are AMAZING. I'll post them next to normal Sunglows. Mine only have a LITTLE salmontine bloodline in them too. The reds are AMAZING. Thanks for the Compliment on the Site. It has been a Ton of work. Hope things are going well over there. Jeremy

salmon or hypo tail?

Do all hypos and Salmons have short tails like that?

Is that an indicator of argentine blood?
