Update on Lavender x Ghost....

Kerby... Aug 13, 2006 07:19 PM

I think Aaron was correct in identifying the Great Valley Serpentarium Lavender as the JR strain.

I already knew that my Ghost female was het for albino.

Still have 2 more to come out of the egg, but it is obvious that there are 2 DIFFERENT looking cal kings, and the rest of the clutch aren't normal looking either.

Can you please tell us exactly what we are looking at here.

Is the lighter animal the "John Ruiz" strain lav and the darker ones are ??

Where there any Ghosts in this clutch?

bluerosy Aug 13, 2006 09:20 PM

Or are these a new morph becauee the JR lav and ghost are codom?

Kerby... Aug 13, 2006 09:48 PM

That might be as well, but I do know that they are recessive.

Geez! Another clutch I will have to hang onto for a few years.

LOL

So far, only 2 are really light hypos, the others look like darker hypos. They definitely do not look like regular colored baby cal kings. There are three more to hatch.

They are not Ghosts.

Maybe my female Ghost (het albino) is also het for Lavender?

I already had one clutch of this Great Valley Serpentarium x Mendota hatch and they all came out looking like regular banded cal kings. Nothing light hypo about them. They are now double hets.

I can tell you for sure in a few years with other breeding projects LOL

My web site is in English, I just checked.

My AVAILABLE PAGE won't have any 2006 babies until they all hatch, shed and fed.
