Question about pygmy chameleons

ritt Aug 13, 2006 10:53 PM

Do pygmy chameleons of the Rhampholeon or Brookesia genera still have the long chameleon tongue of other chameleons?
Thanks!

Long in comparison to their bodies, yes. Long compared to the True old world chameleon species, no.

Do you mean the tongue of pygmy chameleons is shorter compared to their body length than the tongue of larger chameleons is compared to the body length of larger chameleons?

No, approximately the same ratio between true and false (pygmy) chameleons.
