Adirondack Foothill Hogs

naturexchange Aug 13, 2006 11:09 PM

Info for field geeks like me. Naturally incubated e. hog eggs, first youngster is emerging today. Eggs laid on 6/28/06. We had a heat wave and heavy rains most of early July. A cold front broke a few days ago throwing some nights in the 40's. Humidity dropped by half. Today it was 82ish. A youngster pipped yesterday, but isn't out. Antoher one beat it to the punch.

Best,
Kenny B.

Here's a picture of the mom before her release, and a youngster just poking out last night.
