New pics of Anubis, southern scrub

Kestrel May 20, 2003 09:15 AM

He shed today so I snapped some new pics. He's definatly getting big. The Pringles can is 12" long, for size reference. I'd say he's gettin to be bout 6ft or so. I've been laying off on the feeding schedual, so he's gotten a bit thinner and natural looking.

I haven't seen recent pics of all of the babies from that clutch but I have seen a handful lately and yours is definitely the largest. Although I am sure if it was powerfed (yuk), it could be even bigger. They are amazing snakes.
Looking good!

Yeah I think so too, although Will's is a sibling to mine right? I think his is almost the size of mine.. I dunno what it is thats made mine so large. LOL. He definatly hasn't been being powerfed. For the past year or so he's been on a one meal every 2 sometimes 3 week schedual. Guess he's just got the Big Gene out of the clutch or something. LOL. I love him to death!! He really is the worlds tamest scrub. He doesn't even act defensive in the slightest when i go into his cage. Can spot clean, get his water bowl, whatever, and he never bats an eye, so to speak. Hasn't struck or hissed in well over a year.. He's mah boy!
