probing

kevine Aug 14, 2006 06:16 PM

I was probing a couple of snakes tonight and upon probing an 05 brooksi before I put the probe in there looked to be a drop of blood just inside the vent. When the probe came out there was one to two drops of blood on the probe and a speck of some unidentifiable material that reminded me of the popcorn husk that gets stuck in you teeth. The snake is female. Any Ideas?? Kevin

Without seeing what you described as a "corn husk" looking material... my guess would be it's a sperm plug.. in which case you have a male.

But, i would still probe to be 100% sure.
