Strange shed schedules

ReptilesRampant Aug 15, 2006 11:04 AM

About 1.5 months ago I went on a week-long vacation. When I came back, two of the hatchlings had shed. I figured the rest would shed in a few days, but they never did. A week ago, three more hatchlings shed and some others looked blue. They cleared up a few days ago, and I gave them a bath, but now they look all shiny, like they had just shed, but I can't find any skins. Is it normal for hatchlings to have extremely different shed schedules like this? They have all eaten the same amount, so it isn't a difference in nutrition... What's up? Did they eat their skins? They are two months old, so wouldn't it make sense for this to be their third shed?

I believe they will vary greatly. Also grow differently with same feedings. Just like people. It must have something to do with their DNA? lol OK I could not pass that up. but it will vary.
