Tanks are for fish not Balls.... Just showing the best way to setup and house Ball Pythons.

No doubt, glass isn't exactly the best for thermal control is it(snap,crackle,pop!,lol).....Tubs are more secure, and they make it possible to keep everything 100% clean(versus "spot cleaning".

Isn't that kind of cruel? To keep a curious animal like a snake in a 3x5 cell for it's whole life?

Balls spend most of their life in a hole in the ground...
I guarantee my snakes are happy and stress free....

This is the new tank that i just finish yesterday.

rarekind20 Aug 16, 2006 10:15 AM

wow nice bet that cost you a pretty penny for that set up

joshhutto Aug 16, 2006 04:40 PM

not to mention almost impossible to keep clean. In 2 months time there will be soo much bacteria in there unless that is his only cage and he will have to take everything out once a week and bleach each furnishing and the cage. For those that have any sizable collection racks or boaphile style cages with minimal furnishings are the best bet. I do think everyone should have one elaborate set-up like that though, I'm planning on a corner cage for a chondro for my wife soon.

you are all right. it did cost a pretty penny to set up. and i will take a lot of work to keep it clean. however, i just can't stand keeping animals in a box with newspaper, even though it is easier to clean, it isn't as fun to look at. i thought about making it a living viv, but since im still in school i don't have the cash or time for that right now. i really like the european style of caging and make sure that all my tanks give the animals optimal space and enjoyment. i'd like to hear more comments about the tank, and ill most more pictures when i decide and finish the top cage for either my rosy or corn.
