Mist System Recommendations

vegasbilly Aug 16, 2006 12:58 AM

I'm standarizing my Chondros and Etbs into 24"x24"x24" Barrs cages. All will have Helix heat panels and will be controlled by a Helix DBS-1000.

I'm going to incorporate a mist system and wanted to hopefully get some feedback from you all as to what you recommend along w/any pitfalls, downfalls, or tricks to be aware of.

It will be a 7 cage grouping, 4 of whick will entail cycling adults for breeding.

Thanks in advance for your time,

Bill

I've used a Rainmaker Jr. in acrylic cages with my Emeralds. Worked perfect to keep them hydrated and the enclosure humidified. I would recommend putting a heat pad under the housing for the water to keep it warm. You might have to experiment with wattage to get it right. Like most things, Emeralds don't like getting sprayed with cold water out of nowhere.
