Definitely normal. Why would you have gotten ripped off though? Did you buy it as something other than a normal? Hopefully you weren't told it was a yellow belly?

idk i think i got ripped off with the female...she doesnt eat...she has bumps on her skin and she sheds really bad and she's skinny like a twig

You need to look closely at those bumps. Are they ticks???? If so, you probably have a wild caught bp. If not wild caught, then very poorly taken care of. If they are ticks, you need to get them off, and a trip to the herp vet is in order. If she has ticks, chances are she may have internal parasites as well. Internal parasites could also explain a skinny snake. Look closely for mites as well. You DON'T want mites to infest the rest of your collection!

Once you get the health situations corrected, and a proper environment (temps and humidity), her sheds will improve, and her appetite also (hopefully).

Finally, be sure to keep her a good distance away from your other snakes! No putting her in a rack system until she's healthy!!!

well right now she's by herself...and i've looked at it and im not sure if its just bad shedding or what but they are bumps that seem to be under the skin..i dont have the money to take her to the vet so if i cant get her to eat soon i will prob. just take her to an animal shelter rather then let her die.

If you didn't have the money to get the snake checked by the vet, why did you purchase it in the first place?

If you take it to an animal shelter they will eith er kill it, or look at you funny. You should be able to find a reptile rescue which would be better.

Either way you should not have gotten the snake if you weren't ready to take care of it. It's pretty sad that the little guy couldn't have found a better home.
