A while back Greg posted pics of three beautiful high white pieds that he had hatched out of a clutch of five eggs. When I saw him at a show later, I told him I had five eggs and hoped for his odds. Well I got three out of five. I believe Greg's have more white, but I'm thrilled.
I started years ago with a male pied and made hets. These babies came from one of my female hets and a second male pied that I got later. Many years of work have paid off.
There are 1.2, the female is the lower white of the group. They have already started eating rats, ahead of earlier clutches that haven't started feeding yet. Even the female has ate three times before having her first shed. That is right, she is going in to her first shed now at three weeks old, both males shed at about ten days.
