Has anyone ever used any of the fluval series internal filters, or has everyone just gone straight to canister filters?
I'm looking for some advice on a good filter.

I do happen to use a fluval in tank filter, it works pretty good for what I use it for. Which is a 4-5 inch painted turtle in a 10 gal. Anything bigger and you'd probably want to get a more powerful type of filter. I am planning a move him to a bigger tank. A 20 gal long aquarium. When I do this I will definately need a better filter. It has worked well for me in this tank though, I used to clean out the tank at least once a week, but sometimes more, to now only about 2 times a month. They have a few models of the kind I have and mine may be about the medium size. If they have a large one it would probably work just as good in a large tank as mine does in the small one.
