I've looked on indigosnakes.com but its not clear to me, do I need a fed permit if I move to another state with my snakes or only a state permit if the new state requires one ?

You only need fed permits for interstate commerce.

Gifts / donations and breeding loans are excluded...but you should keep accurate records of these things.

If you move across state lines, just keep something to verify that you lived in the other state when the animal was purchased and you are fine...

(that is of course the state you are moving to has it's own legislation)
