This is the snake from the lower post...

As I may have or not I bought this snake knowing it was in this shape, My purchase was a two part reason: 1) was feeling sorry for the snake. 2) I really wanted the snake. Now I'm trying to save this little gal.

in fact all things considered she doesn't look horrible. I have seen many worse snakes make miraculous recoveries in just weeks. She will pack on weight and her skin will get back that luster after her next shed. Take good care of her and I'm sure she will recover nicely. Given proper housing and lots of food, I see no reason why she wouldn't be back in true breeding form by next season.

The only thing you may want to consider is to get a fecal exam at a vet. Parasites can slow the healing proccess of an already debilitated snake.

cheers

I've seen worse snakes recover. I'd be willing to bet your snake also has a protozoan problem too. Nothing a little visit to the vet couldn't confirm and a little Flagyl couldn't cure.
I hope you atleast got a break on the price?
Good luck,
-Phil

Wow!!!!! That looks like some of the stuff we got shipped in from So. Amer. in the '60's. But we had stuff come back. Phil is right on--good luck.

Have you tried 3-4 hr pedialyte soaks it should pump her up some, and give her enuff energy for a feeding response to kick in. This has worked for me, but not a guarentee.

A little better than she is.I have done the pedelyte soak once so far and will be doing it again tonight. She held down the pinkie puree that I gave her.

Is she willing to take food?

She doesn't look in that bad of condition... But still not good.

Yet, I did already tube feed her a pinkie puree, in person she looks a little worse the pic made her look better. I'm going to offer her food again tonight and she if she takes it. Im thinking she might make it if no organ damage has been done. And as soon as I can get a fecal Im going to have it check just to make sure that is all that is wrong.
