new geckos

begunwithaletter Aug 16, 2006 10:27 PM

I picked up another pair of subadult leos today, one a really light yellow wannabe-carrottail, and another reduced-pattern almost high-yellow normal.

Atari and Pong, respectively... my boyfriend is being introduced to the wonderful hobby of herping, and he's named all the leos so far... we've got Pixel, the original rescue (tremper albino, I'm assuming) who's already put on weight since we took her in two weeks ago, and then the two we picked up this morning...

Can you post pictures?

They are separated from Pixel, right? Good luck with your new babies!

yeah, Pixel is WAY smaller, and in a separate tank. These girls have lived together since they were purchased from a Petco about six or seven months ago as hatchlings. I might separate them though, since it looks like Pong (the hi-yellow/reduced pattern/whatever morph) has a possible bite wound on her tail. They haven't been anything but cuddly (they always come out together, or go into the hide together) but who knows what they are like when they're not being watched...

they got to play on wet paper towels today, since they had some stuck sheds on a few toes, and Pong had some skin stuck on her back and tail. Pong is really skittish, but Atari will let me handle her without any 'complaints' and seems to like being stroked...

she finally stayed still long enough for that one... I had about 15 blurry closeups on the camera before that one, and it's still outta focus!
