kat1204 Aug 17, 2006 10:29 AM

Hi,

How often should I feed my 18mnth old beardie and how often am I supposed to supplement him?

I'll be using Repton calcium supplement(powder to dust on crickets) and Reptasol vitamin supplement (liquid to put in water)

Urgent reply if possible please!!
Thanx

is this a new dragon to you? i feed my dragons as much as they will eat (and i do that once a day).

i don't use calcium suppliment because i have mercury vapor lights. but if you have the flourescent tubes that claim to produce UVB, then you will want to suppliment everyother day.

use multivitamin once a week

See my response to your earlier post. A 14 month old dragon needs to be fed daily a mixed green/vegie salad with a few insects, or insects only 2-3 times a week as a meal. I still recommend using a powdered multivitamin instead of the liquid vitamine. Dragons don't always drink from standing water and depending on the concentration, putting the liquid vitamine on his greens could over dose him on vitamins.

I currently feed him 1 box of crickets, twice a week, so will it suffice to supplement one of these feeds with the calcium and vitamin supplements by dusting on the crickets?

thanx
