Hi everyone. My eggs have been incubating for 43 days now. I am keeping a close eye on them and have a few questions. First of all I have noticed that in the past almost week they have swelled. Then noticed today the swelling is going down and some even look almost dented. If I candel them I cant hardly see a thing anymore, as if the eggs are full of??????????? babys I hope. Anyway a couple of sites I read said the incubation should take 40-45 days wich has me very excited being this is the 43rd day however I have read it can tak up to 90 days. How are we to tell for sure with so much mixed information on the net. If I am correct in remembering what you have said before the swelling the the little deflation is a tell tail sign that they will hatch any day correct? Also here is a huge problem. MY little girl gose in for an opporation on the 23rd "6 days" will the snakes be fine if they hatch when I am not here and spend several days in the incubator? I have tryed with no luck to find somone to keep an eye on them for me. The incubator is a 3G bucket with water and a submersable heater. The egg containers are barly large enough to hold the eggs and a temp and humidity gauge each. I worry because what will hapen if they hatch and 8 snakes are in these each container for 3-4 days before I get home. I wil be gone all week of the 23rd and will be to far away to just be able to fly home and check on them. Thanks a million in advance for the help.
