Well I am no expert, but all the amel based snakes I have seen are pretty much impossible to tell apart when they are babies! I think about the only way to tell when they are that age is to know the parents. Please correct me if I am wrong, because I would love to be able to tell babies apart, but I haven't figured it out yet. He looks nice though.

I have to agree with you on that. Reverse Okeetees don't look that much different from normal amels - occasionally you can see wider white blotches. The same goes for sunglows, which as adults have no white. Often the baby sunglows start off looking like normal amels and over time lose the white.

There's exceptions to this "rule" - I've seen some spankin' reverse Okeetees with wide white borders as babies and I've seen baby sunglows that as hatchlings have almost no white.

But for the most part, amel babies pretty much all look the same (relatively speaking).

I have never seen a sunglow as a baby, but I know there are suppossed to have next to no white around the red saddles. Its hard to tell in the pic if its just a normal amel or what. It'd be nice to see the whole body

Also no expert here, but agree with others. Sunglows are a amel where they bred the white out. Question would be does a sun glow lose white from a baby or is it born with no white. Like candy canes, they change a lot. Heck my baby creamsicle was pink in febuary when born. Now a nice yellowish. My guess!!!! is that white area will not fade totally away? A guess.

BUT, that puppy is RED! WOW.

Well, before I finished this I looked at an old pic of my cream, which had white, now very little. So maybe. Thats why i changed the title, to maybe to catch the attention of someone that raised one up from a baby. Still a very very nice corn.

That looks just like my sunglow when it was a neonate.

Thanks for the input. I walked the daytona show today and will be back tomorrow and I did find sunglows that looked exactly like the baby I have.
