Slightly.............. more orange......

HighEndHerpsInc Aug 17, 2006 09:08 PM

........ than an albino burmese.

Here's one of our holdback female albino hybrids pictured next to an albino burmese. This picture is posted, per request, (can't remember who asked for it, sorry, but here it is nonetheless) by a fellow ks member that wanted to see what these looked like next to the albino burmese, which tend to fade out to a light yellow.

For those that might have trouble figuring out which is the albino hybrid and which is the albino burmese, the hybrid is the slightly more orange snake more toward the top of the image. The albino burmese is the slightly (5%) less orange snake more toward the bottom.

Hope y'all enjoy looking at these little beauties half as much as we like producing them.

Enjoy!

First let me address this hybrid. Of course the snake has orange, we can see that. However, if you are going to put it next to a burmese for comparison, don't use a granite burmese or other morph - use a normally pattered burmese amel so we can actually see. The morph you have put next to the hybrid has a totally different pattern and therefore can't be used for comparison. You also state that burmese 'tend to fade out to a light yellow' - well, what do the rock/burm hybrid amels 'fade out' to? Do you have an adult to know? Before you make a comparison of adult phases, perhaps you should only be comparing animals of similar sizes. What if your hatchlings 'fade out' to a light yellow or a light brown?

Secondly, I've been watching your posts for a while now and I have noticed a few things. 1) Very rarely do you respond to someone else's topic. 2) Nearly all of your posts are threads started by you and referencing your animals. That is fine, but it seems like we have seen enough pictures of this animal and there have been enough posts of '5% more orange.' It seems to me that you are using the forum as a form of advertising. Furthermore, your posts always seem to be littered with terms like 'investment quality,' 'cutting edge,' 'next big thing in morphs,' etc. How about just a little more humility here? It is fine to post pics of new hatchlings that you have that might be interesting to see, but to continue to post the same animals/pics over and over is simply advertisement. 3) It seems like you mostly reply to a post when someone gives a compliment. Once a criticism is raised you disappear and the post dies. I'm not making a personal attack here, but it seems like you are abusing the forum to make it more about marketing and less about information.

Seriously though, the guy is giving us updated pics of his incredible animals, of which he is the only one producing albino hybrids at the moment.

I'm not sure about his responses, etc. but I know I for one am always happy to see one of his updates on this forum, since it is normally so dead around here.

So in closing, don't criticize one of the major posters on this forum unless you yourself start posting some more relevant information or some pictures, he's contributing, and you are just whining... enough said.

The purpose of the forum is to spur discussion. I'm not trying to be a killjoy. I post topics and photos, etc. but more often I reply to other posts - what is wrong with that. Also, if he is 'updating' us, can you explain just how much of an update I need on a snake. He posts pics of these weekly or biweekly. Do they really change that much. I would believe it is truly an update if we got updated pics once every six months or so. Also, I have a lot of hybrids where I am the 'only' one producing them. Does that mean that I need to post updates on all of them every two weeks as well?

To those of you that are kind and supportive and positive... Thank you all very much for the nice things you said about us, and our animals. None of it is wasted on us. We genuinely apprecite the kind words and we appreciate all the good, genuinely nice people in the world. Call me an optomist if you need to but I feel there are many more good folks in the world than bad folks, even in this day and age.

Nice colombian Maverick We have a great colection of colombian Orange Sunkist Boas and will be producing our first circleback/laddertail O.S Boas this coming season. Here's a pic of a yearling and an adult. Let me know what you think.

Thanks again y'all!!

David,
Why is it that you cannot address my points? Are they not valid? I happen to be one of those 'genuinely nice' people you talk about - regardless of what you might think about my comments being an attack, they aren't really. I am merely stating my opinion based upon what I have seen you posting. The fact that you don't choose to defend yourself seems to say that you cannot. Is there a flaw in my logic about how you want to compare a hatchling rock/burm and its colors to an adult burm and its colors? Or in how if you want to compare actual colors, take a picture of an amel rock/burm next to an amel normally patterned burm - NOT a clearly white mutation. You seem to take a lot of pics, how hard is it to put an amel burmese in the cage with one of your 'holdback' hybrids? Then we will really be able to see the 5%.

Glenn
p.s. - next post I will make a list of all the hybrids I'm producing this season, just for informational purposes. But of course I don't expect anyone to contact me about them because this is just a forum and not the classifieds.

...they are awesome...wish i could afford one lol...,my male is a very pink colombian male about 6' and 20 lbs.,and my female is 8-9' and 60 lbs...both normal but i think they will make some pretty docile babies as both are from good captive bred stock...
...on a hybrid note i do have a yellow x everglades ratsnake...

Hey Maverick,

Great looking snakes. Yeah, I have seen different pics of them in some of the other forums. You had them in the burmese forum about 2 months back. I come and read in the forums daily but don't always post. A lot of these threads these days turn weird and ugly when you post your opinion on something and I just try to avoid all that drama.

Email me for some more up to date pics on the Orange Sunkists. I also have some interesting information about them that you would probably like to know. David_Beauchemin@highendherps.com

Y'all take care now and keep on herpin
