arboreal bloods? this one is for k. mart

bigcountry1 Aug 17, 2006 10:20 PM

most of my bloods have pretty good appetites...some have very strong feeding responses and i have to be careful just walking past their cages. but tonight i got a nice suprise.

this first one is an 03' marter animal, he has been pretty good about eating f/t...but tonight he literally jumped out of the cage!

and last but not least, his future gf. i got this snake from kevin, the first time i offered her food it was f/t, and it was rejected, so a few nights later she ate a stunned live rat. well after a couple of feedings and getting settled in, she took her first f/t for me!

she keep searching, it seemed for more food, so i thought what the heck, i'll give it to her...she did the same thing!

she actually ended up falling out of the cage, landing in the waterbowl beneath with the two xxl rats...then she splashed around and flopped onto the floor where she finished eating her rodent...which she held onto the whole time.

I've got a few that do that too..... they know when I've got food, and as soon as I open the cage they don't wait for it..... they come out looking for it! If they end up hanging halfway out of the cage like that I just lift them back in so they can eat in their cage in peace.
