I think he or she is wonderful! What a pretty spiny tailed iguana!
I've seen many and keep quite a few. Interesting captives. Males can obtain pretty impressive size and have wonderful colorations. This is my old man, Ctolstoy, at about 15 years of age.
Thanks for your message and congratulations! Your big guy is gorgeous! I wonder how can you have so many incredible creatures!!Where did you get those guys? Are they available in the ...petshops?

Occasionally juvenile Spinytails can be found in US petstores. Mine have all come from rescue situations. If you do rescue long enough you will gain experience with just about every species of reptile available in the pet trade. This past March we carried out a rescue operation that brought us 7 different species of Monitor lizards, 3 different Tegu species, and 2 Cyclura iguana species (28 animals total).

Its a monitor, no?
I think you are doing a great job rescuing those guys.I wish i could do the same! But as i cant ( not know )i do the best i can for my 9 babies.

That Skink is awesome!
Thanks for answering my message
I really didnt know Spiny Tail Iguans could have such a crocodile shapped snout.I thought all of them looked like that:
You welcome, and yeah they do got that crocodile face! Personally, I prefer the green iguana. I think they are much more colorful and more elegant than the spiny tail.
I read that green iguanas are more dociles too.I read that spiny tails are more aggressive. At least my TREX (photo below)is a sweet pie!

There are three words that are not too often heard in a sentence together- TRex and Sweet Pie!
Our green ig is sweet too, at least he is when he is asleep, or... well no that is pretty much about it, when he is asleep!

LOL!!
Trex IS very sweet.Indeed.He was the most docile of my males iguanas thats why i chose him to follow me around the world. Most of the others males iguanas i had i adopted out when i left Malaysia, one of the countries i was posted to.
Of course he has idiosycrasies. He must have them because he is an adult MALE green iguana (of around six years old). For instance, he hates when i cut his nails or when i prevent him from climbing my garden's tall trees because im not sure whether he will come down again. But even in those situations he never attacks me.He just squirms when i grasb him or hides on the highest shelf of his cage when he sees me with the nail scissors.
He has a friendly disposition. He never looks at me with hateful eyes and loves to be petted on the head and on the belly. Just like a cat, he arches his body to allow me to better reach his belly.Besides that he is 100/% clean. He only defecates inside his blue baby bathtub, the one i put on the bottom of his cage or on the same spot in the garden.I do like him and i cannot imagine my life without him.
