FL. King Genetics

Joejr14 Aug 18, 2006 10:51 AM

I'm a bit lost here, and I can't see to find any information through google, so I figured I'd ask it here.

I've picked up two pairs of regular florida kings, a Hypo Brooksi and an axanthic brooksi, so I'm trying to get the genetics down.

I've seen pb hypo, flame hypo, regular hypo, pearl, snow, ghsot, etc etc. Can someone explain all of this to me?

What's the difference between pearl and snow? They look just about the same to me, except Pearl is obviously albino, and snow is not....which doesn't seem to make much sense.

Are any traits dominant or co-dominant, or are they all simple recessive?

A snake expressing axanthism and hypomelanism homozygously will be what?

Ask Rainer (Bluerosy) - he's THE Brooksi morph breeder/expert in the land. But if you re-post next week I'm sure he'll jump on that one. He's probably too busy in Daytona for the next couple of days . . . Me, I'm all into Eastern kingsnakes.
