Red Sand Ameiva?

Upscale Aug 18, 2006 04:41 PM

Strictly Reptiles has listed on their price list Red Sand Ameiva (Ameiva Africanus).
I think this is an error because I haven’t been able to find such a thing anywhere.
They do regularly have some giant green ameivas, pictured under “G” on their photo gallery that are stunning. (They are also quite established in the neighborhood behind their store) I wish there was more info on ameivas here in the lizard forums, but I haven’t found anything. Anybody had any luck maintaining these? Breeding?

I beg those "red sand ameivas2 are in fact Ltastia longicauda...and yes, I did have somme breeding success with Ameiva ameiva...but that was long ago in the 80s.
