Well the collection pics are non-existant this time of year. Is anyone even attempting to collect any Alterna or is this time of year just to slow it is not worth the time. I know they have been found this time of year but not as often as may and june. Any thoughts to get this thing livened up again.

John Wisser and I spent several days in West Texas on our way to and from NM/SE AZ. We saw a number of pitvipers - 6 leps, 3 molossus, 5 atrox & 1 pictigaster. Colubrids were few and far between for some reason - 4 subocs, 1 pituophis, 1 hypsiglena & 1 leptotyphlops (i know, not a colubrid

I won't " SPILL " the beans though. If he has the GUTS , I'll let him answer this post. I warn you though, it may make you all scream ! If he doesn't post, I'll DOG him till he does. Really except for some people not being able to get away ( used up vacation time )and the earlier part of the year being better ( due to more hunters though ? ), there is maybe not a down time till sometime in Sept. Remember, the more hunters at a given time represents more seen animals.

Let me hazard a guess......Dave Long. He is long overdue for his summer trip report. Last year, I bumped into him and Ben German on 277. Of course, Dave was holding a grayband. Last I heard, Ben OWNS 277.............lol
