Tank size for Ribbon Snake?

MrSamsa Aug 19, 2006 01:44 AM

I am interested in purchasing a ribbon snake. The ones at my local pet store are very small, maybe 6 inches. I have been interested in the Exo Terra Terrariums, they have one in a 12"x12"x12" size. Would this be far too small for a Ribbon?

Sounds pretty small, are you sure you will be able to create temperature differences in such a small terrarium?

That ribbon snake won't stay small for very long, so I suspect you would need to get a bigger terrarium in a couple of months anyway. I'm not sure I would spend money on a temporary terrarium that small, when a Rubbermaid that size would cost maybe 10% of the price.
