my girlfriend and i just got back from the shedd aquarium in chicago. for those that dont know they are currently running a lizard exhibit with about 30 diff species. very cool and well run exhibit. if you live anywhere near chicago i suggest the trip. not only is the lizard exhibit nice but the shedd aquarium
is KILLER on its own. monitor species at the shedd were blue tree (the best imo) green tree, crocodile (no wait THIS guy was the best) and the komodo. one thing i didnt like so much, was the komodoensis. he/she was a fat lazy slob that didnt move a muscle for three hours. still awesome, but too "captive" if you know what i mean. the salvadorii was killer, on lone from cincinati zoo. the mcraei and prasinus were very active, curious and comical. i just love those litte dudes.
get to the shedd before the exhibit closes in sept. bye
