Daytona Expo

....Saturday at the Expo there were big crowds of people and some of them were spending money. Too many Ball Python morphs. Too many Milksnake morphs. Boa Constrictor morphs were well represented. True Chameleons and Cornsnakes which used to be big at the show were in short supply. Not enough Rainbow Boas. Some Rainbow Boa breeders have switched to BP and other morphs. Some Rainbow breeders reported babies had not been born yet.

Thanks for the update...Its a sad statement for the way Herpetoculture is going and has been going....Its all about the high dollar money making reptiles, and its sad cuase lots of the new commers to the hobby miss out on the whole idea of Hepetoculture...its not about making lots of money...It sounds pretty simular to last year, I heard there was too many Ball Pythons morphs....and nothing was under $5000...lol...Thanks for the update though...I bet it was fun..

I was there selling inexpensive animals. Het albino and normal boas, and cornsnakes. I was pretty much sold out by Sunday afternoon. The guys next to me were new to the show like I was and brought about 100k in ball python inventory. They didn't sell much but still made a lot more than I did. I joked with them that people came to see their animals....but they can afford mine. From what I saw, most of what they sold was to other ball python vendors.
