New babies born today!

billyboy Aug 20, 2006 07:40 AM

Hi all. I haven't been here in forever, but wanted to share my two new babies born today! Final count was these two orange snappers, two slugs and two full-term stills (another orange just like these two and a solid red). Not sure what happened with the stills, but I found them kind of tangled up in each other....kind of weird and note sure if it happened pre or post parturition. Anyway, happy to have these two gorgeous little buggers. Dad is a yellowish-green patternless and mom is a very deep wine-colored-with-black-kind-of-looking beasty. Will post pics of them as well. To me, it seems they came a little early, as mom had here POS 105 days ago and the last possible copulation date was around 149 days ago. Anyway, things seem to always come early at my place as my CA boa delivered 15 healthy babies 89 days POS (the "normal" is 105 days) and my yellow rat snakes dropped 11 eggs for me 30 days after copulation).
Enjoy the pics.

Billy

Dad also has these cool salmon-colored spots all over him, but I don't think you can see them in this pic.
