This is my first year attempting to breed boas... and i just started getting into monitors.. i have 4 of them as pets that i have had a year now.. i am finally comfortable with them and figured them out for the most part... I am jsut wondering... does anyone out there breed monitors as well as boas? just wondering how hard it is and whats different than boas and if people found it harder or eaiser.. thanks...

Boas for me were easier to breed successfully... and personally I have a lot better luck with a pregnant fem boa than Eggs.

But I'm trying to breed Ackies this year.. thus far, copulation occured without a hitch, I'm merely waiting for her to Lay.
Serious suspense... The girl didn't unconsciously "dig" to give me some hint that she was ready to lay like my Beardies did.. apparently ackies are above that foolishness.
I just hope the soil mix is decent enough, I'm still experimenting to find the right stuff for a burrow..
