Monday Pics

medyssa Aug 21, 2006 03:15 AM

First one, that surprises me, I was very psyched to post this, as I not only have a spiffy new 7.1 mp, 4x zoom point and click camera, but I also have never posted monday pics before.

I think they're my favorite part of this forum, aside from all the wonderful and amiable people wishing to help, of course.

Pictures of Isis (formerly Baby #6) and Baby #3 (still havent named this pretty boy). Isis and #3 ate this evening, but Riley is still being a stubborn eater. I should have a link to some video of #3 by tomorrow evening through my myspace website, not too exciting as I was still trying to change some settings on the camera when he caught the rat.
Baby 3 is on top, Isis is on the bottom
Anyway gotta go to bed, Enjoy!

Hey Jess, happy to see you adding to the Monday pic postings!!

Very good looking pair of babies you have.

On a side note, IMO both pics look like you're overfeeding. From what I can see in pic one, the rat is significantly larger than the BRB's largest girth. The belly lump in pic two also shows too large of a prey item (or multiple) was swallowed. Again there are IMO, slow down, males don't breed well when they are obese and you are risking a very harmful regurge.

thanks for the advice Dave, I appreciate it. I have actually been having trouble keeping them fed for a whole week. My hoppers are always a good size but these two just seem to always want more, about two days after they have a hopper they are looking for more. I thought the rat pups were kinda big, but they have never regurged before and I have been keeping an eye on them after everytime they eat, of course not handling them for at least two days.
Have a good week!
