Please, here I have a question to the (other) breeder of our beloved genus.
Not to maximise the breeding of my Pituophis - it's more in a philosophic matter.
I wonder wether the the double clutching of some captive Pituophis is only a question of good condition, a lot of food and good keeping.
In ssp. of the catenifer I had til now double egglaying in affinis, annectens, pumilus. I heard about the same in c. catenifer and the bull snake. So I think, that all catenifer could produce 2 clutches in one, good year. Do you agree?
Please, what about the pine snakes? And the mexican species. I never heard about double clutching of them.
You made other experience?
