'06 simus hatching yesterday. First year producing these from cbb parents. I took a page out of my friend Dean A.'s playbook and incubated them at room temp in my snake room. No Hovabator this year and all did fine.

WAY TO GO AC . THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO SEE MORE CAPTIVE BRED SOUTHERNS I HAVE USED A STYRO COOLER FOR HATCHING ALL OF MY HOGNOSE MOSTLY SOUTHERNS AND TRI'S AND IT WORKS EVERY TIME ALL I DO IS KEEP IT IN THE SNAKE ROOM AT ROOM TEMP. AND OPEN THE LID EVERY 3 OR 4 DAYS AND SPRAY THE LID WITH A SPRAY BOTTLE I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS I HAVE AROUND 20 TRI-COLOR HOGS HATCHING NOW AND JUST HAD 19 OF THEM 2 AND 3 WEEKS AGO KEEP US UPDATED WITH PIX I WANT TO SEE MORE .. DID YOU HAVE ANY WITH COLOR

They just shed out and a couple have real nice pink on their backs. They will be held back. The others have some nice color, just not as vibrant.

Temps certainly varied from 72-85. It was an odd summer here in NJ
