How big is it?? Is it a 06 baby??
Where are you from?? I'm from New York and the temps at night are starting to go down. Some start to go off feed for the winter some keep on going. It might just be like what you said and its going into a shed. Are the eyes a blueish color?? Some times you don't catch the blue eyes and they look normal and a few days they shed. I have some that eat when they are in shed and some that don't. I don't like to feed them when they are going into shed but I don't catch the blue eyes and so I feed them, then they shed.

i live in calgary/alberta/canada.....the eyes are 'bluesh' color and she is really dark and i put the mouse rite in front of her a couple times she has nudged it and then just left it. and should i be feeding her in her cage. the temps are 80 on cool side and 90 on the hot side.. and ive herd that if the temps are to high they wont eat.

thanks

Hi Mark
Its in shed. Some wont eat when they are going into shed. Keep the humidity high for they can shed good. Feed after it sheds, he'll eat then.

Thats great Mark.
But make sure you don't do it all the time. I mean, its up to you but its better not to feed when in shed, IMO.

Good luck.

is it bad to feed them while there in shed.. if it is wat could happen

DragonDavy Aug 21, 2006 05:32 PM

Its not good because they will have a hard time shedding and they will shed in pieces and some shed will stay on the snake.

It will pass its fecese after it sheds. But most times it will do it anywhere from 8-10 days and longer.

I will let it be for now until it sheds. It might take 10 days or more for it to shed.

Good luck
