REINVENTING THE WHEEL -THE CYCLONE BALL

anthony james mc Aug 21, 2006 07:08 PM

He's doing well and is 150 grams at just under 7 weeks of age.. I agree that this animal is the same as what Jared calls the Super Stripes but I like the Cyclone name better, to me the "Super" in the naming confuses people simply because it isn't a Super expression at all and is in fact the combination of two different co-dominant genes.. Call him what you like I guess , he's cool regardless of what name you want to stick on him! The pics came out ok but he is incredible to see in person, his coloration and side pattern is insane! Beautiful.
Now to make more.LOL

anthony james mc Aug 21, 2006 07:25 PM

Well that should be a problem, since the mother is a Whirl Wind and is the missing gene required to reproduced this genetic beauty it will be easy.. I plan on breeding a male Ivory to the female Whirl Wind this winter , the results should be a clutch that is half Yellow Bellies and the other half Cyclones... It's time to "get er done"! and of course you aren't showing any pics of the mother right?

YOU GOT IT!!!!!!!! That would take all the fun out of it now wouldn't it.... The Whirl Winds will be available to serious investors in the future, male Whirl Winds should be in high demand as they will match up nicely with the female Yellow Bellies that people were raising up to make Ivories with , this will allow people to make yet another morph with the YB's. The Cyclones will also be in demand since it is easier to make the triple combos with the Cyclone because it is co-dominant, this will indirectly compete with the recessive Genetic Stripe in popularity I think.. Time will tell, could be interesting to see how much this project evolves and molds the morphs of the future.. Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles..

not too mention the SSYB is a nicer looking stripe than the clark line stripe especially as they get size to them. Any news on Jared's SSYB, those at the expo know what I'm talking about?

Whirl Wind?? Did that come from CC? You mean Vanillia Ball don't you? Thats how BHB made theirs. The secret is out. You're not fooling anybody. BHB had their Super Stripe and Vanillia displayed proudly for all the world to see in Daytona. Hay CC and GCR your stock just went up! That Super Vanilla is AWSOME!!!! Can't wait to see the Super stripe-Super Vanillia! Too many loose lips in Daytona, its no secret.
I love the "Cyclone"

I talked with Tom from Cypress Creek , he looked at the animal your refering to (the missing gene call it what ya want) and he said "Anthony that snake looks like a Lightning /Super Vanilla , BUT the head looks alot different than both mine and Chris's Super Vanilla." So it is fair to say that we do NOT know for 100% sure that the Vanilla/ Lightning project will do this.. I would also say this , BHB probably got his line from Africa so to say it is the same as a proven Vanilla/ Lightning line is going way out on a limb, they all look SIMILIAR yet are they the same , we don't know , they all produced the Cyclones that is true but so did Jareds and I have seen pics of Jareds adult female and she does NOT look like a Vanilla, or Fire or anything like that... People need to just wait to see , I'm not saying anything else about it , congrats to BHB regardless.. My question is will Brian call his line Vanilla's, I bet he won't ....... Ok,
Long story short...

Some snakes got out at Amirs table. One of them was the Super Stripe. Jared was green all day, then they found it at the end of the show and Jared's color retured later that night =) Hopefully no one minded me posting that

Glad he found it and those Ivories. I was going to say hi to Jared but he looked like he was going in to labor.

Jared found the little guy just about midnight on Sunday tucked up in the bleachers. He came into the bar at the Hilton and showed off the greatest find in the history of the Daytona Expo.
