Native Grey and Red (corn) rat snakes

bridog Aug 21, 2006 07:33 PM

Heres my two keepers. both were rescues, the grey was just a hatchling when I saved it from the cat and the red got into the neighnors rabbit hutch, it was just after the mice that sneak in there to get food. I asker earlier about keeping em together and got some good advice about keeping em apart, just curious when the grey gets mature and the sexes are right could these two produce a hybrid? for wild caughts these two are really gentle, the grey gets a little jumpy but thats just their nature, although I've relocated 5 footers who were just placid as can be. The locals refer to the grey rat snakes as "Oak" snakes and they are quite arboreal

Yes they would be hybrids. I forget if you asked or not BUT do keep them in seperate enclosures.
