Finally home from Daytona

Nokturnel Tom Aug 21, 2006 10:20 PM

Well as usual Daytona was a blast. I saw some good friends, made some new ones and partied like it was 1999. I even almost smoked a french fry[inside joke]. Working there is a LOT different then just being there but all in all it was an awesome experience. For us colubrid guys all I can say is it seems we will be the go to guys for pet snakes in the next year or so. The amount of Boas ad Pythons was nothing short of overwhelming. Just out of control. It has to wind down soon as those who only work with them will simply run out of customers[I think?] Can you believe I did not buy a thing? Regardless, my wife and I had a great time and hopefully more of the regulars on this forum will be there next year. Back to work, catching up in the snake room after a week of being away is NO fun.

Hey just wanted to say I really like your website - nicely designed. What do you do besides working with snakes?

Best of luck with everything. Having a great woman in your life is about the most important thing for a guy. Doing what you love to do is a close second. Sometimes my stress level is out of control but when things are good......it is great. Keep on snakin

Hey Tom

Don't forget your new buddy.

I think the highlight of the show was when I left you guys at inside the Ball pythons talks to witness the fight between Ralph Davis, Bob Clark and ?. Ten security guards had to come break it.

Who was the third guy ?

bluerosy Aug 21, 2006 11:05 PM

some guys think that wearing their badge out to a bar will get them freebies. HEY THE SHOW IS OVER. YOU CAN TAKE YOU BADGE OFF NOW.

Hey speaking of FREE. Nice kingsnake.com T-shirt.

They were giving them out for free at the show.

ha ha ha ha ha ha!~

Nokturnel Tom Aug 21, 2006 11:27 PM

Look smart guy...not everyone knows what I look like and some people I had hoped to meet never found us. Why else would I stay in the bar for hours on end? LOL! By the way, I got my shirt early thanks to Jeff B. Post some freakin pics of Zenny will ya! Tom Stevens

Man, I am so deaf from my years of being a musician I didn't even hear the yelling and don't know much about the scuffle. My new buddy spilled his drink on me twice but you can't get mad in Daytona. When in Rome..... Anyway now I know I should be snapping off pics of you when you are in rare form! Just wait til next year! LOL! Great seeing you bro! Tom Stevens

Bob was not involved in the physical altercation. The third guy was. He is also a big ball python breeder. I just don't follow the ball pythons, so I don't remember his name.

Tom, it was good to hang out with you, even though it wasn't that long. Meeting Rainer and Zenny was a blast too. Got to meet many new people and see some old friends again. I'll get in touch with you in the next day or so.
