I took the barrier between Petal and Mishima (Three-Toed Box Turtles) down last night ending Petal's quarratine. We took the barrier out after they had gone "to bed", so that first thing this morning they could finally be together at last!
So - first thing Mishima does is go over and breed with her - this was around 7am this morning, and they are still in the mating position (nearly 10am). Is everything okay? Is this normal?
Hey, he's not seen or met another turtle in 15 years since I've had him - and maybe even longer - so I can understand in a way, but just want to make sure everything is okay with this picture!
Petal seems okay with this...she's just sitting there pretty much still, and occasionally moving her head up/back towards his, which I think is normal??
They're missing breakfast, but I don't think I should disturb them, right?
Thanks in advance.
