Spontaneous Death?

Star_Of_Life Aug 22, 2006 07:50 PM

I just found my wandering garter that just had babies dead in her tank. She had no signs of illness other than bumps under her scales that I was going to have looked at this week. She gave birth 19 days ago to 4 babies. She was small at about 1 foot and a 1/2 but was eating well and just shed too. What could have gone wrong?

Was it a wild caught snake?Sometimes wild caught snakes just don't thrive in captive conditions. They start to stress and the parasite loads that they have take over.
