Florida Law

Price Aug 22, 2006 09:23 PM

Will anyone be attending the Public Workshops on Captive Wildlife Regulations on August 28th at Pensacola Junior College? I am going to voice my opinion and was hoping to meet some new herpers in the area. I am just tired of watching our community go down the drain by crazy laws and regulations.

Sincerely,
Price

Is it at PJC's main campus? Can't believe I haven't heard about it until now. If at all possible, I will be there.

Yes that is PJC's main campus. It is not very well broadcasted and it is buried on FWC pages. The thing that disturbes me the most is that I recognize some of the people helping to put these laws together as great citizens of the herping community and they haven't really posted anything on these sites about these meeting, which affects alot of herp keepers in general not just venomous keepers. Maybe they have, but I would think that between Kingsnake.com and venomousreptiles.org and repticzone.com I would have heard alot of debate about it especially since they are looking for feedback from the herp community.

Peace Out,
Price
P.s. I hope to see you all there.

Especially true if FWC monitors these forums.

I urge all Florida herpers to stay on top of legislative changes. If not, the insidious nature of herp laws culminate in living in a state where, if you're lucky, you can legally keep a non-native kingsnake.
