Yeah i just got an acrylic aquarium and i'm going to use it to house my Surinam boa. It may be a dumb question but is it okay to have flexwat under acrylic.

It's not ideal but it can be done. I have two general ideas here. One is that the acrylic typically used in aquaria is of pretty high quality and less susceptible to the problems associated with localized high heat (yellowing, warping, etc.). But this can still happen.
On the other hand, acrylic aquaria also tend to be pretty pricey so I can't just see exposing it to these types of conditions.
Unless the tank no longer holds water or is otherwise useless I would call Bob at Pro Products and find a radiant heat panel that is suitable for this setup. For a Surinam boa I'd do that anyways.
