It rained pretty much all week and the temps were too cold after dark, but the last two days were dry and fair herpin'. We also herped west of Phoenix one night and cruised the valley near Rio Rico in the rain one night.

2. Western Diamondbacks = 6, dor =2
3. Gopher snakes = 3, dor = 1
4. Sonoran Lyre snakes = 3
5. Tiger Rattler = 1
6. Desert Kingsnake = 1

8. Arizona Mtn. Kingsnake = 1
9. Tucson Banded Geckos = several

Three Lyre snakes? This really is their year. Usually, they are pretty scarce, but my associates have seen something like ten this year. Sounds like a fun trip you had. While your luck's running, look for Brown Vine Snakes.

Yep, only had seen one lyre ever in the S.R. before this year. It was one of my targets, so I concentrated on them though.

The two weeks have roared by. I hate to have to go.

I don't have time to look for vine snakes, lol. With the weather the way it is, I'll stay close to home. Saw Tom B. in the Chiris, and he had found one.
