cochran Aug 23, 2006 08:57 PM

Hey!,That's the one I was talking about! You have a stunner there!! jeff

raisnok Aug 23, 2006 09:10 PM

thanx, ironic part is thats the first corn i ever bought, and i picked her because of the grey, i had no idea at the time what i was buying....LOL....but i am happy with my choice.

she bred this year, but i had a stroke of bad luck and the eggs went bad, im hoping to find her a miami male at the raliegh show.

I think Miamis are underrated. Beautiful snakes. I'd like to get one in the near future.

I missed breeding mine again this year but should have more next season. They are without a doubt one of my favorites. Hatchlings, at least from "real deal" Miamis, can sometimes be picky in that they want anoles rather than rodents, but once feeding on mice are just like any other corn.
Here's one of my future breeders (hopefully)and
although not my idea of the perfect Miami, (saddles too brown and not maroon enough for me)it'll do.

and the matriarch of my clan is this female (pic from several years ago)

You will like them too when you get some.

Those are two really nice snakes. Your nuts about the first one. That snake is cool looking. LOL

John

crimsonking Aug 23, 2006 08:20 PM

Thanks... I really like it a lot too. I've noticed with that particular snake and his clutchmates I kept, the "browning" of the once maroon saddles as it ages. The father was a snake from Len and he was more like that.
Anyway, I like 'em all!

Both are beautiful Mark, but I really love the female in the second pic. A Miami corn is the next one I plan to add to my collection. I just think a nice silver background with red or orange contrasting saddles is beautiful.

I'm possibly retarted but,That miami is perfect to me!!For sale ???? jeff

Oxyrhopus Aug 23, 2006 08:57 PM

I found this female and several others this spring in Miami. I sold her gravid and she dropped 10 eggs. And yep, I am still banging my head against the wall for selling her in the first place. However I am first on the list for babies, so that is nice.

I tried to buy that female on an auction site.I was told that she was sold. jeff P.S. That is one of the nicest miamis I've ever seen!!

Oxyrhopus Aug 23, 2006 09:44 PM

Well someone used my picture because I sold it to a friend who has it right now and is waiting on the eggs to hatch. Thanks for the info though.

0.1 Snow Corn "Hope"
1. Orange Albino Black Ratsnake "Chunk" (Goonies)
.1 Orange Albino Black Ratsnake "Peaches"
0.0.1 MO Locale Black Ratsnake "Molly" (Flogging Molly)

As we say in Missouri, "I ain't goin back to Missouri!"

BackBeat Aug 24, 2006 12:55 AM

Have any larger photos to share? I could surely use a new desktop background.

Once again, best Miami I've ever seen.

There are breeders who have been selectively breeding Miamis for generations only to hatch animals that look, at best, half as nice as that one.

That snake is just too nice for simple words to convey...
