I'm planning to put Rory on sand - I have a very fine grade beach sand I purchased from the local fish shop. It's very, very smooth and regular in shape. I have one of my uros on it now, and I love it - it's just too expensive to use on all the uro cages. But for one collared cage, I can splurge.

Question is, at what point is it reasonably safe to put her on the sand? She's grown much larger and is a good hunter. She's roughly 4-1/2 months of age and probably seven inches STL. Should I start transitioning her over now? Or wait a while longer?

I'd say put her on sand...but wait for someone else to agree with me

Check out the Washed play sand from Toys R Us...its my favorite and only $4 for 50lbs.
