Nice animal. Boost your humidity levels if you haven't already. That little one is getting ready to shed.

Hello,
Pretty animal, but you need to boost your humidity levels immediately.
As Bart mentioned, the animal is not getting ready to shed, it appears to have a dry shed already on it. Not a serious problem, but with your animal being so young, it can become one if left untreated.
Feel free to email directly if you need any help.
Sincerely,
Gary Schiavino

I'm hoping that's a pre-shed dryness and not a sign of serious dehydration.

Hey,
Ouch! maybe late on this one, but never too late to shed some advice. This little one should be placed in a small container with about an 1/2" of warm water and soaked over night. Also, place some damp paper towel or small clean wash cloth in with it. This could be a stuck shed, very possibly and also, dehydration in combination. Usually a stuck shed is the result of dehydration and lack of sufficient humidity.

I did the container thing...and the humidity is fine. I have a rubbermaid contianer with moss as a substrate. Im taking him to a vet this week. hopefully everything will be alright.
It appears to be nothing more than a stuck shed. As long as you boost the humidity, the little guy should be fine. I don't think a trip to the vet is needed at this point but as always, it can never hurt.
