Import VS Vpi anxanthic

billygn Aug 24, 2006 10:03 AM

Import left Vpi anxanthic right. Both are adults I believe my import is better. I borrowed the pic of the vpi anxanthic. LMK

I would not guess that either was an Axanthic. Axanthics should have no brown, I see tons of brown on the left side snake, which looks like a normal. The one on the right, questionable at best.

Agreed. They look like two brown and black snakes to me.

"Axanthics should have no brown" TRhat is the theory, but most of them do turn out looking about like the snake on the right. Craig Kade

The snake on the right, the VPI axanthic, is nice. Good color for an adult. The snake on the left, if it is an axanthic, appears to have browned out. I don't see any yellow so it MAY be an axanthic. If I were to be offered either of those snakes, my choice would be the one on the right.
Sorry if that is not what you would like to hear but as far as axanthics go, it's nicer.

I recognized the pic of the snake on the right, and have seen the snake in person. The pic does not do it justice. In person, it looks like a black and white photo! In fact, if I had the $$$ that the seller is asking, that snake on the right would be MINE!!! I've never seen the one on the left face to face, so the only comment I'll make is that, to me, it looks too brown in the pic.

Did you raise your WC "axanthic" from a baby. I would be very suprised if that actually proved out to be axanthic. I have about 10 normals that look like that. Good luck with her but I think your wasting your time trying to prove her out as axanthic.
