Up until my hermanni was a year old I bathed him every day to every other day for about 20 minutes. Now he is over a year old I usually soak him twice a week in warm water for 15-20 minutes. He also gets soaked until he poops before he gets to walk around the house, this generally prevents me from having to clean up tortoise poop around the house. Usually that soaking only last a minute or so. That is pretty much daily.

My Hermanns just turned 1 year old and I've been soaking her almost everyday for about 5 to 10 minutes - which is about when she pees and then is ready to climb out and eat. I noticed if I go for 2 or 3 days without soaking that the urates (white stuff) build up and come out when she pees. I had read from other posts that excessive build up of urates in the urine may be a sign of dehydration so I'm happy with the daily soaking.
