Hello All,

If memory serves me correctly, California state law dictates one may only possess the 6 rattlesnake species endemic to California. I believe there are also quotas on how many individuals of each species you may keep, but don't quote me on that. In other words, no exotic venomous are allowed to be possessed by private individuals. There MAY be a permit to keep exotic venomous, but it is undoubtably VERY hard to acquire. Individual municipalities may have more severe restrictions or outright bans on keeping venomous.
