This male keeps getting better looking at every shed. He is now 7 years old and a full six feet in length. My little camera does not do this animal justice. You really have to get this animal out in the sunlight to fully appreciate their color scheme, especially that metallic gray/salmon red. Hopefully, I'll be breeding him to a worthy female next year.........Bairdi rule!

Ok, I don't believe you.
I bet that thing is even uglier in sunlight.

What you need to do is send it to me so I can take it out into the sun to verify your story.

Of course being such a hidous creature the only humanitarian thing for me to do would be to keep it.

It just wouldn't be right to inflict that beast on anyone else.

So, just shoot me an e-mail and I will give you my address for shipping..

All joking aside......ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
The best I've seen yet.

They do indeed!

Yours looks quite different from mine. Are they locality morphs?

Fantastic colors on that guy!

you were going to be in Daytona. Did I just not see you or did you not make it. Randy

Steve G Aug 25, 2006 09:33 PM

Randy.......I didn't make it to Daytona this year, as an unexpected family priority took precedence. I truly missed seeing you, Jason, and the rest of the pit boys. I guess I owe you a couple of adult beverages next year. Way to go......sneaking a jani pic on the ratsnake forum. I'm going to have to post some new pics of some choice '04 jani holdbacks on the pit forum real soon. My '06 jani have just hatched(mine seem to hatch later than everyone elses). There are a couple of interesting animals in the mix........stay tuned. As to the origin of my big male bairdi.........I picked this guy up at a show back in '99. The parents were also up for sale and were quite impressive. I was told they were from "northern Mexico" lines. I consider myself very fortunate to have picked this guy out, and to have him develop into such a stunning animal. If anyone has a comparable female, I'd sure like to hear from you.
