scary thought for all of us who buy geckos online....

i was thinking today about how lucky we are that most people within this industry aren't scumbags because with the power of graphic editors nowadays, it's frightening how easy it would be to run scams. Granted i AM a digital arts major in college but there isn't anyone here who couldn't whip up either of the examples below with some of the programs available today.

Watch as a $20 hatchling becomes a $40-60 high-yellow screamer:

and again, an albino with slight tangerine highlights becomes a screamer with just a few strokes in photoshop:

to avoid ever having this problem i like to ask people for multiple pics of the animal, just to check for consistency of color and patterns and stuff. and i know some of you are problem thinking 'hey i bought geckos from this guy maybe he ripped me off' lol i promise i would never do anything of the sort, i wouldn't post something like this if i did i just want to make sure people are aware of the potential scams, because it would be easy for a breeder to say 'oh well it WAS that color when i took the picture'

Disturbing isn't it. I have noticed that really high qaulity digital cameras bring out color in them alot of times that is not as bright as seen

Yeah, I took a random pic of my male with my dad's cannon (non-digital). It is a really good camera, can't remember the model but the pic of the male came out making him look very high yellow when he is just a bright normal.
